Women’s Circles

“Every woman’s success should be an inspiration to another, we’re strongest when we cheer each other on.” – Serena Williams

LOCATION: The Main House at Amethyst Retreat Center (44 Buffalo Creek Rd, Duncannon PA)

ABOUT THE CIRCLES:

Here at Amethyst we will gather to create a safe, intentional circle of women, to honor ourselves and each other under the new moon. Each month will flow a little differently as we like to create a theme based on the moon and her cycles. You can expect anything from guided meditation, to journaling, intention setting, singing, creating, and most importantly forming a strong bond with the women who will be beside you. This is a safe space for us to come together, and see each other exactly as we are.

We intentionally gather closest to the new moon because new moons represent a clean slate, new beginnings, and are a great time to set intentions together. Women gather all around the world on the new moon, creating a strong collective energy. Come as you are, and allow yourself to connect with your heart and those around you.

Hosted by Phyillis Varra.

What Women Are Saying

“It was a very heartfelt sharing of personal thoughts, stories, and issues, revealing a common thread of oneness throughout all participating.”

“I had a wonderful time connecting with like-minded women.”

“I conquered a fear by going there. And I walked away feeling at peace. Sharing with each other and the energy of the room was so healing.”

“I felt, from the moment I arrived at Amethyst, that I found a safe, sacred space to foster connection with other women. Society and daily life can often leave us feeling isolated and stressed, and I was in dire need of support and growth. While in Women's Circle, I was able to take a break for the evening to recharge, center, and find support from others. The women I've met in circle will always hold a special place in my heart.”

As with any descent to the unconscious, there comes a time when one simply hopes for the best, pinches one’s nose, and jumps into the abyss. If this were not so, we would not have needed to create the words heroine, hero, or courage.
— Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Women Who Run With the Wolves

Ode to the Moon

There's something to be said

Of the power of the female collective

Lifting our voices

Our pain and our joy

Combining our light

Howling into the abyss

We sing the songs of our ancestors

Burn the sweet scent of intention

We set our souls right

For the night of the new moon
