Located just 30 minutes north of Harrisburg PA near Duncannon, Forest Sanctuary of Amethyst fosters your contemplative meditative time and offers an abundant ecosystem that is teeming with birds, mammals, wildflowers, mushrooms and the natural beauty of an 80 year old woodland forest.
Walk along the creek, sit in meditation, or hike one of the many trails – Stream of Consciousness Trail, Teapot Trail, St. Francis Trail and visit Frog Pond. This is an ideal “natural playground” for families, children, and lovers of Nature. It is also a sacred woodland for the Spiritual Seeker.
Forest Sanctuary of Amethyst is open daily from Noon to dusk.
Trail Head Entrance is located at 28 Buffalo Creek Road.
Parking is available.

Sit quietly and listen to Nature.
Hunting and camp fires are prohibited.
Amethyst is a drug and alcohol free environment.
