Volunteering at Amethyst
Throughout our open season, we host weekly Volunteer Days.
Volunteer days will take place every Wednesday from 2-7:30PM.
When? Wednesdays from now until (and including) 11/6/24 from 2-7:30PM. No RSVP is required to join.
Volunteer Day Itinerary:
2PM-6:30PM Volunteer Work
6:30PM Potluck, Followed Immediately by a 10-15 min Meditation, then Final Clean-Up
Where? We gather at the Main House at Amethyst Retreat Center: 44 Buffalo Creek Rd, Duncannon PA
What kind of work will we do? Gardening, Cleaning, Painting, Grounds Keeping, Forest Trail Maintenance, etc. Our volunteer day host(s) will help set you up with tasks based on what is needed and what feels the most fulfilling for you. We have volunteer day rain or shine since there’s always lots of projects to do inside the house.
What to bring?
•Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather if you plan to work outside. Be sure to wear clothes you can get dirty.
•Bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated.
•Please bring a potluck dish if you plan to join us for potluck. All dishes are welcomed.
IN THE CASE OF SNOW: If there is a major snow storm or hazardous driving conditions, we will cancel volunteer day and resume the following week. Cancellations will be added as a banner on the top of this page if they need to be made.
