Join Calyx Liddick of Northern Appalachia School for an afternoon plant walk. Learn the essentials of foraging including plant identification, terminology, safety, ethical harvest, and medicinal and edible uses of plants. You will meet a number of plants this way and practice key skills to increase your observational skills.

Calyx is a bioregional herbalist, ethnobotanist, holistic nutritionist, wildcrafter, and mother of two, born and raised in the mountains of Central Pennsylvania. She is the founding director of the Northern Appalachia School. She is an outspoken advocate for accessible education, social and ecological justice, and ethical practice in plant work. She is committed to integrating plantwork as a life way, helping others develop a rooted relationship with the land and its more-than-human community, and healing the damage from extractive and hierarchical relationships between people and plants.

Amethyst and the practitioner may cancel the event for any reason. If the event is cancelled you will be notified as soon as possible and issued a full refund, less any donation.

Cancellation Policy

Amethyst will issue a refund less any transaction fees and donations for cancellation requests up to 24 hours before the event. Requested cancellations within 24 hours of an event will not be refunded.
